Vacation Read

Yes! I'm still making blog entries about my vacation.

After waiting more than three decades to finally take a real vacation, that's not something that's going to wear off anytime soon. I managed to pack a lot into those three weeks while still staying true to my healthy lifestyle. I had an absolute blast, and I simply want to share as much of the experience as I can.

Of course, there was no way I was going on vacation without planning some brain workouts.

I actually brought two books with me. The one in the photo, The Science of Personal Achievement, was the book I was finishing up during the trip. I had also ordered another book to begin as soon as I finished this absolute gem, which I'll be sharing in a future post.

Before I say anything else, let me say this...

Buy this book.

Over the years, I've accumulated a small collection of books that I credit with changing my life. This one immediately earned a place at the very top of that list.

With chapters covering topics like Self-Discipline, Positive Mental Attitude, and Sound Health, it spoke directly to the philosophy I've built over the past seven years while adopting a healthier lifestyle. I only wish I had discovered it sooner. Then again, everything seems to come into our lives exactly when we need it, and I'm grateful I found it when I did.

If what I've been sharing throughout this blog resonates with you in any way—especially the idea of adopting a healthier lifestyle for your mind, body, and spirit—then I cannot recommend this book highly enough.

After recently revisiting Napoleon Hill's Think and Grow Rich for the first time in decades, I found myself searching for more of his work. In doing so, I struck gold.

I've often written about the importance of reading and what I call "mental workouts." Well, reading this book felt like completing an intensive training program for the mind.

By the time I finished it, I honestly felt like my brain had just survived two years of elite Navy Seal training—including Hell Week. It challenged me, inspired me, and changed the way I think. That's not something I say lightly.

This is a book that will remain on my nightstand for years to come. I'll be rereading it, studying it, and referring back to it often because it's simply that good.

If you're looking to improve your life in any way, shape, or form, I wholeheartedly recommend adding this book to your reading list.

Thanks for reading.
