Race, Crime, and the Law

This book was a good mental workout after my last read. This is my area of expertise. I just never grow tired of learning about laws and why society is the way it is. Most people settle for what ever they see on the news or what they read in the newspapers. Trust me when I tell you those outlets don’t even scratch the surface. They do assist you in forming an opinion but opinions are like…well you know the rest of that saying.

Books such as this one here make you think long and hard as they shed light on areas mostly ignored by the general public. They make you question yourself, how you think about certain issues and people. They also make you question how you feel about issues we face on a daily basis. It’s easy to form an opinion like it’s easy to grow fat and out of shape. You have to put in the work in both cases to be in good shape and that is what I am doing here, putting in the work.

Just as I mix up up my work out regimen, I like to mix up my reading, but I do only read non-fiction. Autobiographies are very entertaining but that is as far as I’ll go. I am not knocking those that are into fiction as I believe all reading is good exercise for the mind. Unless you are reading some insane material of course. Books are like the world itself there is endless exploring one can do. This particular book for me was like doing a good deadlift workout which is a core exercise. My next read I may take it easy by choosing something that is more like some like cardio we’ll see. Reading IS fundamental! Thank you for reading.
