Captain's Chair

The captain's chair is NOT made for sitting I’ll tell you. The captain’s chair predominantly targets your abdominal muscles. But it works a lot more than that. It also hits your abdominal hip flexors and external obliques. They are also an Isolation exercise so they  allow you to focus on building that great core!

Closing month 11 of my journey on the captain’s chair is definitely symbolic. I am at the helm steering my life in the direction that I chose. I may not be where I wish to be, but I am surely well on my way. It’s been a struggle but for the most part I’ve focused on the ride instead of any destinations. I’ve focused on my accomplishments rather than my failures. And I’ve focused on my achievements rather than to focus on the struggles and for the most part it has worked for me.

The saying “What you Think, you Become” comes to mind. For a good portion of my life I was lead to think I was nothing and would never amount to anything. This is what stayed stuck in my mind, and it is what I would think day in and day out. It is no wonder that before deciding to embark on this journey I was pretty much feeling like a nothing. Some people had made remarks about the shirt I am wearing in the photo for this post. I would quickly tell them, I much rather Think I AM God, than to Think I am worthless.

Most people search for God externally as I myself have done in the past. Well truth be told I found Him within and no I am not being religious here I am just being honest. Upon this realization it became clear to me that all things are possible. Instead of asking God for help. I instead daily give Him thanks for all I have been given and THAT, keeps me driven. Month 12, here I come! Thank you for reading.
