Brooklyn vs Everybody

Doing Cable Tricep Pushdowns with some Wise Intelligent bumping in the headphones, cup of coffee on the side yea life is good! I have come a long way. Not just on this journey to living a healthier lifestyle but in life period. From Marcy projects (yes the same ones Jay Z came from) in Bedford-Stuyvesant, Brooklyn to Nodeland, Norway. I still find it difficult to wrap my mind around that. But it is my reality.

I was always open to change. A lot of people fear change. Hell I hoped, begged, pleaded and worked for it. Just being open to change is hard work and most people just aren’t up for it. Though a majority of people want their lives to improve in some way they fail to see that it takes a willingness to change. You first have to make the choice to want to change before you’ll see any real changes.

Just as my decision to move to another country shocked those around me, choosing to embark on this journey to live a healthier lifestyle has as well. I didn’t go for the slight change, I went for the bundle package. Those in my life that in fact fear change quickly distanced themselves from me as if the changes I was choosing to make was contagious.  No matter how much you assure them that their comfort zones are safe, they ain’t trying to hear it. So though self discipline makes your life easier for the most part, you can expect some difficulties.

My tee shirt is a statement to myself. Though it’s not where you’re from, it’s where you’re at, I am proud to have been born in Brooklyn. I am quick to tell you I am from Do Or Die Bed Stuy. I use that for motivation daily because when it comes to your health it is do or die. Seek and find your motivation and your inspiration and be wide open to change, because want it or not, one way or another change is coming. Have a blessed, healthy day. Thank you for reading.
