Fear Of A Black Planet

Another book post? Yes, another book post. When The World Was Black was an intense mental workout I loved it. I can also say for the first time, in like, forever that I love myself. NO, this isn’t a book review that’s not what my book posts are about. As a matter of fact I am about to make a sharp left turn with this post so you better buckle up.

I didn’t plan on doing a blog like this it sort of just came about. I could have or maybe should have just started this blog like most would, from square one. Instead I chose to first try to recap my journey from when I started and try to catch up to the present at which time I would just post the daily or weekly happenings. It’s a bit of an ass backwards way of doing it but hey, story of my life.

I explained why I chose to do this blog if you haven’t read about that you should do so, or not. I chose to create this blog with the best of intentions. But of course even when someone has the best of intentions at heart there are packs full of A-holes waiting on the sidelines to fling dung in your direction. Let me break this down for you as simply as I can. I created this blog to inspire people. If you don’t find it inspiring then just move on. There are plenty of other sites, pages, blogs, and or books that you can seek your inspiration from. If you are only looking to spread hate, try doing it in the mirror because what you see is where the roots of it are. Now. If this blog does inspire you great, let’s rock. This blog has definitely taken a somewhat selfish turn as well. It’s therapeutic for me. I have a non stop flowing brain that at times tries very hard to drive me insane. Pouring out some my thoughts here helps me in more ways that even I knew possible. It has driven me to also keep a daily journal where I can just go off without hurting anyones feelings. I love it. It’s like a constant Spring cleaning of the mind.

I actually took some time off from writing this blog, because I started getting some negative feedback. I never understood why anyone would waste their time, going out of their way to say something negative to someone that is trying to do something positive. I can only pray for these types of people. Bottom line is, I am not a writer. I am not a health guru. I am just a regular guy trying improve himself. I spent a good portion of my life feeling hopeless and taking it out on the world. But now that have found a drop of hope, instead of just drinking it all down for myself, I choose to better share it. If I can bring hope to or inspire even one person I am good. Without hope my ancestors most likely would not have made it and I wouldn’t even be here so yes, I am truly grateful for them and for those of you that rather choose give me positive feedback. To those that left none but at least took the time to visit. I thank you.

Truth be told I am not better than anyone, I am just different. We are all different. We are all unique in our own way. Some hate themselves as I once did but now I rather chose to love myself and embrace who I am and take care of myself. I am not a pushy vegan or vegetarian, I am not a Jehovah’s Witness knocking on your doors at eight in the morning. Again I am just a regular guy sharing his journey in life hoping to inspire anyone into taking a chance on themselves. I know way to many people that chose to get old rather than to GROW OLD. I was definitely getting old and I gotta say growing old is a hell of a lot better choice.

Now, back to the book. It was an excellent read. I have been known that history as it is taught in schools is a load of cow dung. I remember reading Lies My Teacher Told Me by James W. Loewen like 30 some odd years ago and thinking to myself I KNEW IT! I knew it was all dung. It feels absolutely liberating to research things, and think for myself rather than to be force fed dung and told what and how to think. You don’t have to take my word for it, you can get yourself a few books and it give it a go. If you’re not going to exercise or eat right the least you can do is read! It is at least one step in the right direction. Trust me, there is nothing to fear!
