The Big Salad

 


 I have never been big on eating salads but that has definitely changed. Just looking at all the colors in a bowl of salad is appealing to me now especially knowing of all the health benefits. For me it makes all the difference in the world by knowing all about what I am eating, what it is and what it does for me. Even if it doesn’t taste amazing, knowing the benefits of what I eat makes it amazing for me. 


 I don’t do daily salads I just make them up now and then. A big part of enjoying a good salad is making it. I just enjoy washing and cutting everything up myself there is just something about it. I definitely feel good after eating a good salad. I haven’t found a dressing that I really like just yet though. When I was a kid, the only way I would eat a salad was if it were drenched in French dressing. For now a dash of olive oil and vinegar make due but I plan on exploring the whole salad dressing thing. 


 I still don’t have a set diet plan. I am still not following any diet programs I am still just experimenting. I’m trying out all kinds of different options and enjoying myself. As long as the food is healthy I’m good. It’s definitely not boring. 


 I can only speak for myself and what I have been experiencing up until this point. Adopting a healthy lifestyle like everything is what you make of it. My goal was to ensure I didn’t commit to anything I would dread. I didn’t want to set myself up with unrealistic goals that would try and talk me into quitting daily. I wanted to keep it exciting and fun and I was seeing results so I am happy. Getting fit doesn’t have to be a hellish experience. Take your time, explore and find what works for you. Find things that you like as there are endless options out there. I have no desire to eat just salads every single day but once in while most definitely. 


 I just wanted to add that on the days I made salad I would make a big salad and if there was any left overs, I would use it the following day in a wrap for either brunch of dinner. I would cook up some brown rice, and then make some beans with fajita mix or taco mix. You can add some fresh avocado and some hot sauce and they are delicious. As I said the rules are, there are no rules as long as all the ingredients have good health benefits. Thank you for reading.
