Six Months In
I celebrated six months of training by buying a pulley system. It’s nothing fancy you just bolt it to the ceiling and you’re off and pulling. For as simple as it was, I found it costly at $60, but then again I learned pulleys weren’t easy to come by in Norway and when you did happen to find some they weren’t cheap. Anyway this little set up was a lot cheaper than buying a whole multifunctional exercise machine that offers the same functions. It was perfect for my set up as it didn’t take up much space and at the end of the day it definitely does the job.
Six months went by pretty quick with the whole experimenting tactic I have been doing. I’m still not done experimenting either, just trying different things and having fun with it all as I have discovered is what works best for me. One thing is for sure I am well on my way to forming healthy new habits. I now felt it strange not working out even if it was a day I chose to take off. I more looked forward to working out than taking days off, which I feel is a good sign. The eating healthier is pretty much the same really. It’s going well. Of course people close to me see me as the strange one for not wanting to partake in like barbecuing hot dogs and hamburgers but if they knew what I took the time to learn they more understand.
The garage gym was definitely coming together I was very pleased. I was still searching daily for good deals but for now I was happy with the variety of things I could do. With this new pulley system I could do so many different exercises and could also get different attachments so I was pumped up about it. Even with this new addition running me as much as it did, I was still way below what I would have paid for a gym membership. Low budget or no budget you shouldn’t let anything to get in the way of your health and well being. Thank you for reading.
