Sixth Weigh In

It had been 24 days since I last weighed myself. I was expecting zero loss or possibly some gain as I was turning up the lifting a bit. I wasn’t lifting heavy doing low reps. I was still doing high reps just with a bit more weight on all lifting than I had been doing. To my surprise I dropped another 2 kg (4.4 lbs.). I finally broke out of the 80 kg range weighing in at 79 kg (174.1 lbs.) Two weeks into my fifth month and I have lost a total of 10 kg. (22 lbs.). I was super excited as I finally dropped from Cruiserweight class to Light Heavyweight.

As I’ve shared I wasn’t super focused on losing weight even though it was part of the overall deal. I was stepping on the scale mainly for motivation and it was definitely working. If you put the work in you will see the results no doubts about that. I know a lot of the time people get obsessed with stepping on the scale without knowing your weight fluctuates up to 5 or 6 pounds per day and it can discourage you. It basically all comes down to what and when you eat, drink, exercise, and even sleep. You have to be consistent as to when you weigh yourself. Your lowest weight of the day will be after you wake up and empty your bladder. I always weigh myself at the same exact time of day early in the AM.

I have to say that best part of this journey so far, was the fact that I was having fun with it. Again, some people are better built to follow certain programs, and or diets and some could more than likely afford joining a fancy gym and even hiring a personal trainer. I say hey, whatever works for you. I had to think outside the box and find my own way of doing this that worked for me. I found inspiration in a few people that share their journeys which is why I am paying it forward by sharing mine with this blog. Losing weight, getting fit, eating better doesn’t have to be dreadful. Like everything in life, it’s what you make it. Thank you for reading
